- הַרְדְּסִיאֹות
- הַרְדְּסִיאֹות(הַדְרְסִ־) הַרְדְּסִיֹּות f. pl., יוניה׳ a species of domesticated doves (prob. so named from the manner of their fructification, v. הִרְדּוּס). Ḥull.XII, 1; Bets.25a; Tosef. ib. I, 10; Tosef.Ḥull.X, 9 הרד׳ ed. Zuck. (Var. הדר׳). Ḥull.139b חד תני הדר׳ וחד תני הרד׳וכ׳ one reads hadr., and one reads hard., the one deriving our w. from Herod, the other from the name of a place.
